Car Magazine Launches Travel-Sized Edition

Bauer Media’s premium motoring monthly goes travel-sized, as part of a three-pronged cover promotion.

CAR magazine is the first of Bauer Media’s Peterborough-based specialist brands to introduce a handy, travel-sized edition, which launches with the August issue, on sale today.

The travel-sized issue is not the only innovation for CAR this month. The full-sized August issue has four separate covers, each featuring a different convertible supercar from some of the biggest brands in motoring: Ferrari, Bugatti, Aston Martin and Mercedes-Benz/McLaren.

Finally, there’s a £5 value pack for CAR and Bauer Media’s FHM – offering consumers superb value for money for both iconic titles.

CAR is a truly global brand with 14 international editions, and sells strongly through travel retailers. The smaller, travel-sized edition (measuring 230mm x 180mm) is a three-month trial through WHS Travel outlets. It costs £4.20, in line with the regular magazine.

CAR’s editor, Phil McNamara, comments:

“The August issue is a perfect illustration of CAR, the brand.  We are at the leading edge with new formats and hard-hitting, marketing activity, backed up by brilliant content that is unique to CAR. Only CAR can deliver the beautiful, thrilling 200mph roadsters package that is this month’s cover proposition.”
