FHM Unveils Health and Fitness Spin Off FHM Bionic

FHM BIONIC, a new health and fitness magazine from FHM, goes on sale this week with a wealth of news, features and advice aimed at FHM's broad, market-leading readership of active young men.

FHM BIONIC is NOT a magazine about going to the gym. It’s a magazine about discovering a healthier and more active and enjoyable life. And looking and feeling better because of it. And it’s 100% useful.

England Rugby International James Haskell ‘graces’ the cover, one of many international sports stars – Usain Bolt, Joe Calzaghe, Lewis Hamilton - featured in the issue to share their successful training routines

Britain’s Strongest Man Jimmy Marku and Arctic Swimmer Lewis Pugh are also interviewed, while FHM’s Stuart Hood slips into his purple posing pouch and enters the weird world of women’s body building.

Gym Won’t Fix It takes a tour around the top ten sports that you could take up today to get fit and healthy instead of the £50 a month you pay for the pleasure of not going to the gym.

Elsewhere in FHM Bionic:

Pulse covers bite sized news and views from the fitness world including the modern man’s must-have kit bag, to the best hangover cures.

Details features a selection from FHM's finest writers including Ben Wilson’s attempt at the New York marathon – “Wearing my gold medal, it dawned on me - bald, tubby, whatever, I can legitimately call myself a marathon runner”; Justin Quirk’s ten-week weightlifting journey from “streak of piss to aspiring doorman”; Steve Beale’s solutions for Insomnia – ”an antihistamine kind of made me sleepy, but was nowhere near as effective as a double dose of Benylin”; and Chris Bell’s fears over never becoming a real man – “I moved into a flat last year and it was revelatory just exactly how few skills I possess.”

Fuel aims to understand the food that leads to a fitter, fuller life; Surgery includes advise on health, sex and grooming, whilst Train features no- nonsense fitness drills to get you into shape.

FHM Editorial Director Anthony Noguera commented:

"With FHM BIONIC's help men can feel healthier, look better and may even live a little longer. Because the blunt truth is there really is no excuse for not looking after yourself properly.

“Rather than getting ‘ripped’ or ‘pumped’ on your own down the gym, it’s a magazine about joining in and participating in sports at whatever level you can and getting more out of the experience. All put together and presented by the FHM team with the authority and unmistakeable tone of the UK’s most successful ever men’s magazine.”
