KISS and Magic Syndication Deal with The Independent

In a first for The Bauer Radio Network KISS and Magic have struck a unique partnership deal with the Independent Newspaper website to carry radio content via the newspaper's website home page. Readers of Independent.co.uk can access the radio content through the embed 'widget' on the newspaper website and launch bespoke Independent branded radio players that stream both KISS 100 and MAGIC 105.4.

Bruce Mitchell, Head of Digital for Bauer London Radio, says, "Bringing our programming to the Independent is not only a great way to add another dimension to users of the Independent website, but also a great way to extend radio listening online. We absolutely see online as a developing broadcast platform, and a partnership such as this truly helps to deliver radio content in a format people are growing to expect as the norm. If we can make it easy for them access our content wherever and whenever then the likelihood of them to be more passionate about our brand is increased."

KISS has seen a substantial rise in listening hours attributed to online, accounting for anywhere up to 7% of all RAJAR hours as well as helping lift totalkiss.com to over 400,000 unique users per month.
