Bauer Media today announced its strongest set of RAJAR results with across the board growth locally, nationally and retaining the all-important number one position in the fiercely competitive London market. Every week 12.469m million people tune in to a Bauer radio station – its largest listening audience ever.
In London Magic 105.4 continues in its reign for a 7th quarter at the top with more listeners than any other commercial radio station.
Magic 105.4, the more music less talk station, delivered 11.9m hours and reached 1.885m Londoners, representing 17% of the listening audience. Overall Magic 105.4 took a solid 5.8% market share.
Every week the dance music network, Kiss, delivers 18.4m hours of upbeat tunes to almost 3.2m 15+ year olds, the highest ever reach and hours recorded by the network.
In London, following Kiss 100’s summer marketing campaign Kiss does Summer, the station has increased reach quarter on quarter by over 8.3% to 1.53m listeners, who tune in every week to the best dance music on offer in London.

Across the Big City Network (BCN), Bauer Media continues to lead the way in delivering award-winning radio to local audiences in the UK’s major conurbations. Our Central Scottish stations (Clyde and Forth) secured an impressive 22% share – over 16% on FM alone. Key 103 – Manchester’s original music station, continues to be the City’s local station of choice, reaching 563,000 listeners and delivering a solid 9.4% market share. Together with its sister station, Magic 1152, they command a dominating 27% reach with 12% market share of total radio listening in Greater Manchester.

Relaunched Q radio is celebrating a successful launch RAJAR, showing an impressive 19% increase in reach during the quarter, with more than 330,000 fans tuning in every week. Q has been an influential and powerful brand for music lovers for over 20 years and the reaction from the fans secures Q radio’s position in the digital market.
heat Radio’s mix of best music and up to the minute celebrity news station with has put in a solid performance this Rajar entertaining 458,000 listeners each week, a 6% increase during the quarter and an impressive 11% year on year.
