Bauer Radio today announces the appointment of Ric Blaxill to the exciting new role of Music and Content Director.
Formerly head of music for Bauer's local station portfolio outside of London, Ric's new role will take the strategic lead in developing relationships with the music industry to encourage an even stronger rapport between Bauer's 42 stations and artists and talent, and in turn create more compelling content for Bauer Radio's 13 million weekly listeners
Ric will also work alongside Bauer's Regional Managing Directors to create a joined-up UK-wide events strategy.
In addition to this music role Ric will expand his responsibilities to manage Bauer Radio's national brands - The hits, Smash Hits and heat radio. Ric's strategic input to these brands, which are driven by consumer passion for music and entertainment, will help support the programming team to drive their audiences and promotional opportunities to even greater heights.
