The Hits Radio Strengthens Programming and Presenter Line Up

The Hits Radio, the UK's leading commercial digital station, continues to underline its commitment to bringing its audience closer to the artists through a new line-up, station sound and exclusive bespoke content - all under a refreshed identity.

From this week, anchor show 'You Call the Hits' is being extended by an hour due to phenomenal demand from the listeners. The show has grown a Facebook following of 77,417 in less than a year providing an integral part of the show allowing the audience to interact and pick their favourite hits with presenter, Chris Younie.

Other changes include James Everton presenting a new weekday Breakfast Show providing a true appointment to listen in the morning; a renewed focus on the Weekend feel with Saturday night show 'Weekend Kick Start' hosted by Danny Mylo, and a new show with Graeme Smith, every Sunday night from 7pm.

A raft of world-class exclusives and takeovers are also showcased this month. Pop star of the moment, Katy Perry, takes to the air-waves on Thursday 9th with an exclusive in-depth interview and takeover show. Katy B takes over The Hits Radio on 9th April, followed by 'The Wanted Week' - a series of Shows hosted by the band from the 18th April.

Joint promotions and content-sharing with Bauer Media's leading music and lifestyle magazines will further strengthen The Hits Radio's leading Commercial Hit Radio position in the market.

The Hits Radio has also launched a new iPhone App - free to download from itunes.apple.com.
