Our ideal candidate will have worked in a Broadcast Engineering role for 2+ years and be able to demonstrate a solid technical background. You will work as part of the team looking after the Hits Radio and Greatest Hits radio networks but also have key skills in AOIP studio systems and audio playout systems. You’ll get a kick out of technology and will love working in the fast-paced environment of radio. You’ll enjoy looking after our users as well as driving our audio projects forward by designing, implementing and supporting elegant technical solutions. Helping people will not be a chore for you; it will be why you get out of bed each morning and you’ll thrive on completing tasks to the highest possible standard.
On top of this, you’ll be good at building relationships will both users and management. You will be just as happy rolling up your sleeves and getting stuck in as you will be with the big picture. You will keep ahead of changes in technology and be able to identify solutions that are suitable for our business. Above all, you will care about what comes out of the speakers and whether technology is working for our users. Although based in Manchester, the role will involve work at other Bauer Media locations.
