Editorial Assistant – Process Puzzles

Your working Pattern:

Full-time (37.5 hours) permanent

Our Team:

The Puzzles Department is responsible for creating 32 separate puzzle magazines with a variety of frequencies. This dedicated team are all puzzle specialists, whether commissioning, compiling or designing. There is a passion for all types of puzzles and the output from this team means the division is an important part of Bauer’s global activities

The focus of your role:

Under the supervision of the Editor/Deputy Editor, carry out administrative tasks to support and deliver to final production the regular magazines within the Process Puzzles portfolio. This will include solving and checking puzzle content.



What you’ll do:

  • Compile, edit and sub edit puzzle content under the direction of the Editor/Deputy Editor
  • Write and/or edit supporting copy for puzzles and associated pages
  • Liaise with internal promotions department re: prizes, prize values, winner’s details and promotional copy
  • Perform administrative tasks as required, to a high standard in order to maintain quality relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide any other administrative or creative contribution that may be required across the wider Puzzles department

What you will bring:

  • Expertise in solving and editing puzzles
  • Strong organisation and administrative skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Illustrator for Mac, training will be give
