Our cultural impact

Cash for Kids

Let us tell you about Cash for Kids, Bauer Radio’s network of local charities.

Cash for Kids is Bauer Radio’s network of local charities, which operate across 22 areas around the UK.

Cash for Kids is a grant-giving charity helping the children that need it most across the UK.

Our mission is to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in our communities who are affected by poverty, illness, neglect or have additional needs. We believe that all children should be able to express their individuality, achieve their potential and live life to the full.

We work with grassroots organisations that aim to make a difference to young lives, directly supporting families who often have nowhere else to go.

Cash for Kids ensures that every penny raised locally stays locally across the Hits Radio Network, so our supporters can be certain that their generosity will directly benefit a local child with a minimum of 80p from every pound donated going to the children.

Cash for Kids have raised more than £19.1 million in 2020 and supported over 385,000 children across the UK.

The Cash for Kids Appeal

The Cash for Kids Appeal is an urgent call for donations to support families with children hardest hit by Coronavirus.

Cash for Kids is building a fund to provide grants to help cover the cost of essentials such as food and heating. Teachers, health professionals, social workers and small charitable groups can apply on behalf of those that they support - validating the need and distributing the funds.

We guarantee that 100% of all donations made to the appeal will be used to help the families with children that need it most during this time.

Mission Christmas

Cash for Kids Mission Christmas aims to make Christmas Day different for children and young people living in poverty across at this important time of year.

Christmas is a luxury that some families just can’t afford, but by collecting and distributing gifts and cash donations Mission Christmas can make sure that disadvantaged children have a gift to open on Christmas morning.

We give Santa a helping hand, providing support through community organisations, social workers, schools and the emergency services to ensure that help is given to those who need it most at this crucial time of year.

In 2020 Mission Christmas collected over £12.7 million in gifts and cash donations, which was used to make sure that 254,352 children and young people had presents to open on Christmas Day.
