Absolute Radio Signs Jason Manford

Absolute Radio has signed Jason Manford in a coup which sees the station building on its strong comedy credentials. Manford will join a roster of presenters including Frank Skinner, Christian O’Connell, Rob Beckett, Geoff Lloyd and Andy Bush as the brand delivers comedic talent 7 days a week.
Manford has built a hugely successful career as a comedian, writer, actor, radio and television presenter. This year, he has hosted ‘Jason Manford’s It’s A Funny Old Week’ on ITV1 and ‘Money Pit’ on Dave. In addition, he starred in the critically acclaimed BBC1 drama ‘Ordinary Lies’ and the UK tour of the smash hit musical, ‘The Producers’. 2016 will see Jason take the lead role of Caractacus Potts in the UK tour of ‘Chitty Chitty Bang Bang’, from 10 February.
Paul Sylvester, Absolute Radio Content Director said “Jason fits the Absolute Radio mould perfectly. He’s a brilliant broadcaster with first class comic talent, he’s a family man, he’s relatable and he’ll be able to connect perfectly with our audience of reluctant adults.”
Starting on Sunday 10th January, Jason Manford will be live on-air from Manchester every Sunday morning from 8-11am.
