Audio Production Award Wins 2018

Jazz FM’s Jez Nelson was crowned with the Gold Award for outstanding contributions to radio as Nick Harris and Dave Masterman, Absolute Radio were both awarded Gold winners at the UK Audio Production Awards 2018 this week.

Jez Nelson was recognised for his outstanding contribution and remarkable achievements in UK radio from his KISS pirate days, to setting up indie powerhouse Somethin’ Else to his work on Jazz FM.

Dave was crowned Entertainment Producer of the Year for the Dave Berry Breakfast Show while Nick Harris won Best Newcomer for his documentaries. Nick also won bronze for Best Music Producer for Sound of Protest and 50 years of the Isle of Wight festival programmes.

Chris Gilvear, Jazz FM was also commended taking home Silver in the Best Live Event/Outside Broadcast category, Claire Solan, Absolute Radio won Bronze in the Entertainment category for the Christian O’Connell Breakfast Show and Dan Prior was awarded Bronze on his work creating the Absolute Radio station sound.

The Audio Production Awards celebrate outstanding achievements in audio and radio production within the designated categories covering both producers and on-mic talent and we’re so proud to have such a strong contingency flying the flag for commercial radio!
