The Bauer City Network is today revealing the presenter line-up and music offering for its new local ‘3’ station across England and Scotland which will drive listening through extending consumer choice as part of the group’s newly unveiled radio strategy.

This new station is designed to extend the appeal of the Bauer City Network brand to a younger ‘millennial’ demographic. It will bring audiences the hottest and freshest tunes, biggest future hits and DJs in the mix combined with laugh out loud moments and the latest showbiz news and info first and up to the minute.

The playlist will contain the biggest tracks from artists like Clean Bandit, Megan Trainor, Olly Murs, Mark Ronson, Taylor Swift, Philip George, Calvin Harris, Alesso, Gorgon City, Sam Smith, Blonde, One Direction, Jesse J, Tulisa, Charli XCX and Ellie Goulding.

Group Content Director, Bauer Place north of England and Scotland Owen Ryan said “The Bauer City 3 Network will offer a fresh, dynamic new listen to our biggest local markets in the UK. We have a terrific line-up of presenters at the top of their game and significant investment content created around the needs of the millennials ‘15-24’ year old audience we are targeting. Darryl Morris in the Morning, along with posh producer Sam and Rebecca will serve up the very best ‘get out of bed’ playlist, mixed in with top comedy moments and showbiz updates.

Throughout the morning Michael Blades, will be pumping out the hits all day long as well as all of the In: Demand showbiz updates as they unfold.

The mic then goes to Olivia Jones who will be taking afternoons up a notch both on-air and online with a strong emphasis on social media.

Stu Tolan hosts In:Demand every weekday evening – a special Bauer City Network 3 edition with extra exclusive content that won’t be broadcast on the same show across Bauer City Network 2. Stu’s show is home to the biggest and best interviews with all the stars, digging deeper into their lives and getting all the latest  gossip.

The station will see in the weekend with So Wright in the Mix every Friday night.  A regular on the club DJ circuit this girl will spin the best house music for listeners staying in and partying all night long.  

Designed for bedroom DJs out there The Sessions show which follows on Friday nights will hear Djs take their mixes live and direct on air.

The Weekends are all about Will Manning helping listeners through their Saturday and Sunday mornings. Luke Franks, fresh from hosting the X Factor online, The Voice and Scrambled on CITV –  anchors Saturday afternoons, with the biggest stars dropping by to chat to him before James Everton brings the party every Saturday night on Hit Mix,  with conversations wrapped around #hitmix.

The Bauer City Network 3 will launch on DAB Digital Radio, online plus free-to-download listen apps on the 19th of January.
