Bauer Media Radio Celebrates Further Digital Growth and Record Reach

Bauer Media posts record reach of 17.9m listeners with record high of 11.8m digital listeners

Bauer Media increases lead in commercial digital listening with 56.1% of listening vs industry average of 45.5%

Absolute Radio Network celebrates record reach of 4.5m

KISSTORY claims #1 all digital commercial radio station spot with 1.6m listeners

#1 and #2 national commercial breakfast shows held by Absolute Radio and KISS

  • Record reach for Absolute Radio Network with 4.5m (+6.9% yoy) listeners
  • #1 national commercial breakfast show for The Christian O’Connell Breakfast Show with record of 1.9m listeners (+14.6% yoy)
  • Growth for Absolute Radio main station up 24.4% yoy with 2.6m listeners

  • #2 national commercial breakfast show for KISS celebrates with 1.8m (+15% yoy)
  • Record reach for KISSTORY nationally and it claims the number one all digital commercial radio station spot with 1.6m listeners (+23.3% yoy)
  • KISS Network reaches 5.4m listeners

  • Growth for the Magic Network with 3.7m listeners
  • Further growth for newly launched Magic Mellow which celebrates reach of 424,000 listeners andMagic Chilled which posts reach of 240,000 listeners

  • Bauer City Network (BCN) remains third biggest commercial radio network, with its audience reaching 7m nationally
  • BCN records highest ever digital reach with 2.9m listeners (+5.9% yoy)
  • Standout performances include Glasgow’s Clyde 1 which increases listeners to 660,000 (+14.6% yoy)

Digital

  • Record reach of 11.8m listeners (+7.9% yoy) as Bauer Media continues to lead as the #1 digital commercial broadcaster
  • 56.1% (+3.3% yoy) of Bauer Radio listening is via a digital device, versus the industry average of 45.5%
  • Growth for Planet Rock which increases to 1.1m listeners (+5.1% yoy)
