KISS to bring Ibiza to UK homes next May bank holiday

Following the huge success of #KISSFEST – the world’s biggest radio rave, KISS has today announced another huge bank holiday weekend event, set to cure our lockdown blues. Get ready for #KISSIBIZA, the ultimate summer staycation experience.

Bringing listeners the magic of The White Isle, KISS is gearing up to serve up massive anthems, the biggest DJ line-up and a guaranteed home-made Ibiza experience – all from the comfort of your own home. Taking place from Friday 22nd – Sunday 24th May across KISS and KISSTORY, there’ll be sets from some of the hottest DJs, including Craig David’s TS5, deadmau5, Hannah Wants, James Hype, Martin Solveig, Roger Sanchez, Tiesto and many more.

KISS are even giving listeners the chance to enjoy the actual Ibiza sunset from the comfort of their own home, with a live stream on their social pages Friday and Sunday evenings. Plus, to make the experience just that little bit more authentic, KISS is dropping a brand-new soundscape station to fully transport us to the sunny destination. Expect the sounds of lapping waves and planes flying over ahead on their ‘Ibiza Sounds’ station, exclusive to the KISS Kube app.

Speaking about the event, KISS presenter Tyler West said “At KISS we understand that a lot of us are feeling down about holiday plans being on hold, or having to miss out on weekends out with mates. That’s why we’re launching #KISSIBIZA to bring the vibes of unreal party direct into your home. Were gonna’ bring the sound of the beach, the DJs, the tunes, and even the Ibiza sunset. All you’ve got to do is put 22nd-24th May in your diary, tell your squad and keep it KISS. It’s gonna’ be a vibe!”

KISS’ Content Director, Rebecca Frank said “Radio’s agility and resilience has come into its own during lockdown, and we want to continue to be there for our KISS audience no matter what. With double the average streaming figures for KISS Fest – our Easter ‘radio rave’ – we’re bringing our listeners more of what they love; massive anthems, the hottest DJs and a feeling of everyone coming together.

“This time we’re all about the 360 party experience, tapping into our audience’s love of mobile and social to deliver an even more galvanising moment. The fun soundscape station will transport listeners to warmer climes, while the live stream of the iconic Ibiza sunset will bring deliver shared experience for them and their friends.”

KISS’ recent #KISSFEST event delivered stunning streaming figures for the brand, with figures across KISS, KISSTORY and KISSFRESH all up by a minimum 50%, and an increase of more than double last year’s Good Friday listening across the KISS Network. Recent Bauer Media streaming figures have shown that KISS has benefited from one of the sharpest increases in listening across all the radio brands, with KISS Network’s reach increasing by 38% during lockdown compared to beforehand, and hours increasing by 27%.

#KISSIBIZA (The Home Edition) kicks off early on Friday 22nd May, with a virtual pool party and give-aways on KISS Breakfast with Tom and Daisy. The station will then play Ibiza Anthems from 10am, with DJ sets kicking off from 3pm each day. There’ll be a special Ibiza Sunset Show from 7pm on Sunday 24th May with a special guest performer – more details announced soon.
