Kevin Hingley
Digital Manager at Absolute Radio
Kevin Hingley is a quiet revolutionary within radio. Put simply, the brand’s potential in how it communicates with fans wasn’t being met, and his ‘rip it up and start again’ approach has seen record engagement on social media.
His ultimate achievement is that his vision is now being rolled out across Bauer Radio’s other national brands, demonstrating why he will be one of the business’s future leaders.
What elevates him further is his connection to ‘what comes out of the speakers’; his radio brain is derived from his other ongoing role as a presenter on Kerrang! Radio, which he achieved after rising through the ranks following a work experience placement.
Shiona McCallum
Multi-Media News and Sport Reporter at Radio Clyde
Within a year of being a journalist at Radio Forth, Shiona was promoted to work at the larger Radio Clyde. She has made a huge impact across the UK Bauer network as a whole, and was the first journalist to have contributed to programmes north and south of the border.
Shiona excels at breaking news, with her content being picked up by likes of the Guardian, and by the First Minister Nicola Sturgeon on Twitter.
Her skills were recognised by the Arqiva Awards in May, where she won Silver in the Journalist of the Year (Ali Booker Memorial Prize) category. She was also nominated as Journalist of the Year in the internal Bauer Awards, up against the UK team of both radio and magazine journalists.
Andrea Zara
Presenter at KISS
Since entering KISS FM’s annual presenter search ‘The KISS Chosen One’ in 2012, Andrea has progressed from early shifts on weekend breakfast, to co-hosting KISS’ market-leading drive-time show in less than two years.
Andrea also hosts shows on ‘KISSTORY’, and is the voice of the weekly urban chart show ‘Urban Hotlist’ on KISS TV.
She has interviewed some of the biggest stars that pass through KISS, such as Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, Ben Affleck and Rebel Wilson, and has reported from major awards shows and music festivals including Wireless, Sundown and The Brits.
James Ellison
Programme, Automation and Content Producer at Kerrang! Radio
James started at Kerrang! in 2013, taking on responsibly for the 24hour automation of the station. Here he saw opportunity to grow the schedule and since then, James has been responsible for many new shows and changes on the station.
His “In Full” show, for example, has become a cross brand initiative, and links articles in the Kerrang! magazine with the radio schedule, and has now been successful for 2 years.
Now in 2016 he is chairing editorial meetings for the brand, and was nominated for “Unsung Hero” at the Arqiva Commercial Radio awards, for his work and commitment to Kerrang! Radio.

Producer at Bauer Media
From launching brand new local and national stations across the country, to winning two gold Sony awards, Joe’s career has been incredibly varied with a stamp of his personality on all the radio he’s produced.
Currently, he’s producing and co-ordinating the station sound across the Bauer City Network. Thanks to him, all 48 stations across the group now have a consistent sound and yet reflect their individual heritage marketplaces.
Joe is also the producer of The Jason Manford Show on Absolute Radio, where he has helped Jason craft the show into a vital part of the Absolute Radio weekend schedule. The show has been a runaway success; showing rapid gains in audience, with dynamic social media presence, and great critical reception.
Louis Chadwick
Breakfast Network Producer at The Hits Radio
