Bauer Media Announces New UK Publishing Leadership Structure

Following the appointment of Rob Munro Hall as CEO of Bauer Publishing UK and Co-Head of Global Publishing Business the company has evolved and simplified the UK structure.  It has also created additional resource to help shape and grow its publishing businesses across USA, Australia and New Zealand, Poland, France and Russia.

To ensure strong leadership in the UK and maintain momentum in the UK Publishing business, the responsibilities of Liz Watkinson, Helen Morris, Niall Clarkson and Kim Slaney have been expanded.

Helen Morris becomes Managing Director, Celebrity Weeklies and Entertainment taking responsibility for Grazia and the film and music portfolio of Empire, Q and MOJO in addition to heat, Closer and Bella.

Liz Watkinson, as Managing Director of the TV and Real-Life portfolio will now add responsibilities for Puzzles, and Niall Clarkson Managing Director – Automotive, will add responsibility for B2B Automotive as well Consumer Cars and Motorcycling.

Kim Slaney, Managing Director Women’s Specialist and Interim UK Subscriptions Director will take responsibility for the Hobbies and Sports portfolios with Sanjeev Khaira, Managing Director of Hobbies and Oswin Grady who joins as Managing Director of Sport on 7 May.

Patrick Horton is appointed to the newly created role of International Publishing Operations Director.

Patrick will focus on co-ordinating strategic planning and operational activities across the international territories, reporting directly to Rob Munro-Hall. He will work closely with Stefanie Hauer, based in Hamburg, who will be responsible for business development and market research.

Commenting on the appointments, Rob Munro-Hall CEO of Bauer Publishing UK and Co-Head of Global Publishing Business said, “These changes ensure we have strong leadership in the UK Publishing business to ensure momentum is maintained as well as allowing further focus on enhancing our position internationally.“
