Bauer Media appoints Paul Keenan and Rob Munro-Hall to new international roles

Bauer Media has appointed Paul Keenan President of Audio at Bauer Media Group, and Rob Munro-Hall as Co-Head of Bauer Media Group’s global publishing business and CEO of the UK Publishing Business.

Paul Keenan will lead Bauer’s Audio Business, with its market leading broadcast radio, webcasting and podcasts, reaching over twenty-five million listeners daily, further developing it with a focus on digital transformation worldwide. In this role, Paul will continue to report to Veit Dengler who has been appointed Chief Operating Officer of the Bauer Media Group.

Bauer has established a new leadership team for its worldwide publishing operation, comprising of Rob Munro-Hall, Sven Dams, Stefanie Hauer and a Chief Financial Officer, who will be appointed in due course. Within this newly created role, Rob‘s focus will be on enhancing Bauer’s leadership position as well as shaping a successful publishing business for the future across the UK, Australia and New Zealand, USA, Poland, France and Russia. Rob will report to Veit Dengler.

Paul’s career spans journalism, publishing and broadcasting. He has been with the Bauer Media Group since 2008 and prior to this role headed up the UK publishing and radio businesses. During this time he has lead numerous creative audio innovation and digital projects such as Instream+ and the development of voice-activated technology. He also lead the acquisitions of Absolute Radio, SBS Discovery and Radio Nova.

 

Rob’s careers spans editorial roles across both magazines and national newspapers, as well as a number of publishing roles and as Managing Director of EMAP Australia. He joined Bauer Media in 2007 and since 2016 he has led Bauer Media’s united UK magazine business across Bauer Media UK and H Bauer.

In the UK, Bauer operates the biggest consumer publishing portfolio of some of the UK’s best-loved magazine brands including heat, Grazia, Empire, Parkers, TV Choice, CAR, Garden News and Take a Break.
