The shortlist for the Audio & Radio Industry Awards were unveiled by the Radio Academy today, with Bauer Radio stations picking up an incredible 30 nominations.

Absolute Radio has been nominated in nine categories including National Station and Network of the Year, with five nominations for their landmark Absolute Radio 40s event.

Magic Radio, also nominated for National Station and Network of the Year received four nominations, while KISS picked up three including Best New Show for KISS Breakfast with Jordan and Perri. The pair, who landed the coveted morning slot last year, have also been announced as this year’s hosts of the awards which is to be held in London on the 26^th May.

Bauer also landed three nominations in the John Myers Award for Best Local Station of the Year, with Clyde 1, Forth 1 and Metro Radio all nominated.

Other Bauer Radio teams recognised include Greatest Hits Radio, Hits Radio, Scala Radio, Jazz FM, West FM, Radio City, Northsound 1 and Bauer Scotland.

There are 25 awards to be won on the evening in categories such as Best Music Entertainment Show, The 2020 Special Award, Best News Coverage and The Creative Innovation Award.
