Bauer smashes the 70% digital mark for the first time led by KISSTORY – No. 1 commercial digital station, Absolute 80s, Mellow Magic, Magic Chilled and Planet Rock

Absolute Radio and Magic Networks continue to grow

Absolute Radio Dave Berry Breakfast Show remains #1 national commercial show

 

  • Bauer Media posts reach of 17.7 million (up 1.1% YoY)
  • National networks post growth including:
    • Absolute Radio (4.7 million up 3.6% YoY)
    • Magic (4.1 million up 9.1% YoY)
  • Digital reach achieves record high at 13.7 million – growing rapidly at 14.3% YoY
  • Bauer Media’s listening via a digital device continues to significantly lead the industry with a record high of 70.5% – growing 9.8 percentage points;

  • Absolute Radio Network grows to 4.7 million listeners (up 3.6% YoY)
  • Dave Berry remains the number one national commercial Breakfast Show with 2.2 million listeners – growing 6.2% YoY
  • Absolute Radio main station posts 2.4 million listeners
  • Digital-only Absolute Radio branded stations continue to see growth including:
    • Absolute 80s (1.7 million – growing 11.3% YoY)
    • Absolute 90s (958,000 – growing 40.1% YoY)
    • Absolute Classic Rock (786,000 – growing 15.4% YoY) and
    • Planet Rock (1.2 million – up 14% YoY)

  • Magic Radio Network grows 9.1% YoY to 4.1 million listeners
  • Ronan Keating and Harriet Scott’s national Breakfast Show posts audience of 1.3 million up 18.2% YoY 
  • Digital-only Magic branded stations continue to see rapid growth, including records for:
  • Mellow Magic (603,000 up 39.6% YoY)
  • Magic Chilled (336,000 up 29.7% YoY)

  • KISS Network records 5.2 million listeners
  • KISS main station has 3.9 million listeners
  • KISSTORY remains the biggest digital-only commercial station with 1.8 million listeners

 

  • Bauer’s biggest network – Hits Radio Brand posts 6.1 million listeners
  • Hits Radio national Breakfast Show grows by 104.9% YoY
