KISS Breakfast Presenter Perri Kiely Voted Heat Magazine’s Most Popular ‘Secret Crush’ 2021

Perri Kiely has been voted the public’s most popular ‘Secret Crush’ this year 2021 according to heat magazine’s annual poll.

KISS Breakfast presenter Perri usurped two-time winner Piers Morgan, stripping him of his title. This year Piers only managed sixth place, missing out on a coveted Top Five spot.

Commenting on his win, Perri said: “I am truly buzzing. I’ve been so low-key, saying it’s no big deal [being on the voting shortlist], because I didn’t think I’d make it. But I’d have been heartbroken if I didn’t.”

He added: “Piers thinks a lot of himself, so it’s good to knock him down a bit. Plus, I know he was a Britain’s Got Talent judge when we won, but he actually voted against Diversity, so this is the ultimate revenge!”

Asked how he felt about his defeat, Piers told heat: “Well, he wouldn’t be where he is without me, because I was one of the judges who made him famous on Britain’s Got Talent. I hope the ungrateful little wretch does the right thing and stands aside right now. He should have discouraged his supporters as a token of gratitude for what I did for him, so I could keep my title for a record-breaking third year!”

He added: “To be honest, I don’t think I am a Secret Crush any more. I think I’ve become very much a public crush. Maybe I lost because the public have moved on from having to lust after me in private, to being very happy to do it publicly.”

heat editor Julia Davis said: “heat is proud to declare Perri a very worthy winner of this year’s Secret Crush. His fans adore him and voted in their thousands for his heartthrob status to be recognised. He’s cute, funny, self-deprecating and a wicked dancer, what’s not to love?”

Perri’s closest rival was from Absolute Radio presenter Matt Dyson who came second place. Radio 1 presenter Jordan North took the third spot, Noel Fielding co-presenter of The Great British Bake-Off came fourth and English comedian James Acaster took fifth.

TV presenter Declan Donnelly is in 7th place, and Lewis Capaldi is at number 8. Elsewhere on the list award-winning comedian and Absolute Radio presenter Frank Skinner is voted at number 25.

TV Presenter duo Ant and Dec both improve their rankings this year’s list from 24th and 16th place to 10th place to 7th respectively. Prince Harry slides from second place to 12th spot and Boris Johnson also makes a dramatic fall from 6th place to 24th.
