KISS has today announced it is partnering with NOW TV to launch an all-new Breakfast Show fronted by Jordan Banjo and Perri Kiely. Leveraging KISS’s high engagement with the 15-35 audience, the streaming service will be both the headline sponsor for KISS Breakfast and Tyler’s chart show.
Jordan & Perri met in 2007 and soon shot to fame in dance group Diversity, before enjoying highly successful careers on stage, TV and as content creators. They joined weekends on KISS in 2019, soon proving that their brand of real-talk, genuine friendship and laughs really connects with listeners. Now they’re ready to bring their chemistry to a bigger radio stage.
Listeners can expect to hear the freshest new music as well as the biggest anthems each morning to get hyped for the day ahead. Sharing stories from their lives, the guys will make their own circle of mates part of the show – from the biggest KISS artists, to their barber who has a story for every occasion.
Unafraid to ask all the weird questions we want answering, Jordan and Perri are always on the look-out for a new mission, and they’ll put themselves through it for their listeners. The real definition of #friendshipgoals, Jordan and Perri are grounded in an unbreakable bond forged from years of hard graft and teamwork.
Also found presenting together on Nickelodeon, Jordan recently co-hosted The Greatest Dancer’, while Perri placed as runner-up on this year’s ‘Dancing on Ice’. The pair are still active in Diversity, touring with the group and have individually amassed loyal social media followings, with over 1.2million fans following Perri’s Tik Tok channel alone.
Jordan and Perri said “This is major!! The minute we stepped into KISS last year, it felt like coming home. We grew up listening to the station, vibing off the playlist and we feel it just ‘gets’ us. We couldn’t be anymore gassed to get to host the Breakfast show in an exciting new era for KISS.”
Rebecca Frank, Content Director for the KISS Network said “Jordan and Perri have the sort of authentic chemistry that only two best mates can create. Bringing their positive, energetic spirit to everything they do, together they concoct the perfect formula for breakfast radio and we can’t wait for our KISS audience to hear them in action every morning.”
Daisy Maskell who currently co-hosts KISS Breakfast has landed her own show on KISS Fresh. She will take the charge of the Breakfast Show from 13th July, playing non-stop fresh beats. Tom Green has decided to move on from KISS to explore new opportunities.
Tom Green said, "Hosting the KISS FM Breakfast Show for the last 18 months has been an absolute blast! We’ve had highs and lows and it is, without question, my greatest career achievement to date! However, it has come to an end! I will also be leaving KISS FM, the station which brought me to London and changed my life. For now, though - what’s next? Probably a lot of golf and cider. However, radio has always been my dream and will continue to be my dream! I’m nowhere near done yet… more on that later."
Daisy Maskell said, "I cannot wait to launch the brand new Breakfast Show on KISS Fresh and for us to grow this space together! There is so much passion and excitement surrounding its future so it’s such an honour to be a part of the driving force that will turn it into the UK's biggest and best station for new music."
The KISS Network has benefitted from sharp streaming increases in listening since lockdown began, seeing a 70% rise in daily average reach in the week of 25-31 May compared to before. Virtual events such as KISS Fest, KISS Ibiza and Bauer Radio’s RadioRave have allowed the network to successfully continue to connect and engage valuable young audiences, which is more important now than ever as consumers’ behaviours and media consumption evolve.
KISS Breakfast with Jordan Banjo & Perri Kiely will launch on August 3rd. Make sure you follow ‘KISSFMUK’ on social and download the KISS Kube app to keep in touch with all the latest.
