Magic Radio to Host Christmas Day Panto Starring Christopher Biggins

It’s a Christmas miracle! Magic Radio will be lifting our Christmas spirits at 7pm on Christmas day for their very own festive pantomime starring Christopher Biggins as well as a host of Magic Radio presenters.

Following the closure and cancellation of many pantomimes across the country this Christmas due to Covid-19, Magic Radio is here to save the day with its first ever festive panto.

Featuring panto legend Christopher Biggins who will be leading the festive show as the ‘Good Fairy’, you may also spot a cameo from singer Rick Astley! Alongside the two celeb guests will be Magic Radio’s own hosts such as Lynn Parsons and Harriet Scott amongst a selection of presenters.

Christopher Biggins told Magic Radio’s Tom Price about his excitement for the show, which is sponsored by Gold TV Channel. When asked if this was his biggest panto to date, Biggins replied “Oh without a doubt! The excitement when you first approached me was palpable, I couldn’t believe my luck. Just wonderful, because I know most of your audience are pantomime people!

On why the nation love Pantos so much, Christopher explained “The whole thing is to do with family, family is the most important thing. It appeals to everybody, from a baby right up to an 80 or 90-year-old and everybody in between. It’s a family occasion. Families go out for a good laugh, to be entertained and enjoy themselves.”

You don’t have to miss out on the festive pantomime tradition this Christmas. Listen in and hear how the team take on a mission to rescue Magic 100% Christmas from the spell cast by ‘evil fairy’ played by Lynn Parsons. Can Magic Radio be saved?!

If you don’t get the chance to tune in to the pantomime, you can catch up by listening via the Magic App after it has been broadcast.

Magic Radio has turned 100% Christmas this year by playing non-stop Christmas hits. The radio station will be playing the seasonal songs until the 27th of December, for anyone who can’t get enough of the festivities.

Tune into Magic Radio on December 25th to listen to the hour-long pantomime with Christopher Biggins, Rick Astley and our Magic Radio presenters. You can listen to Magic Radio in London on 105.4FM and nationally via the Magic App, at magic.co.uk, on Sky Channel 0180, Freeview Channel 715, Virgin Media 928 and as a music TV channel on The Box Plus Network.
