Cash for Kids Day is coming!

Bauer Media’s children’s charity Cash for Kids will be celebrating their namesake Cash for Kids Day on Thursday 27th April to help families across the UK get through the cost-of-living crisis.
In 2022, the charity raised £20.4 million and helped 489,409 children, with the Mission Christmas appeal alone raising an amazing £14.2 million.
This April for the first time, Cash for Kids Day will be running across all Bauer Media radio brands and we’ll be asking listeners to donate or join us to fundraise.
What’s raised will be distributed as cost-of-living grants to pay for essentials like food, heating and electricity, clothing, bedding and toiletries. It might not seem like much, but it means the world to families with nowhere else to turn. Every £50 funds a grant to help one child.
WHAT TO LOOK OUT FOR
There’s lots to look forward to across our radio stations on 27th April!
The Hits Radio Network are asking listeners to dress like popstars and the presenters are getting in on the act – be sure to check out Fleur East’s Scary Spice and Gemma Atkinson’s Liam Gallagher!
On Greatest Hits Radio don’t miss our presenters dressing up as their favourite 80s popstars and tune in for a non-stop stream of 80s hits all day.
Speaking of non-stop, Tyler West will be hosting a 24-hour KISSTORY rave where he’ll either be on the decks or on the dance floor round-the-clock. Magic Radio will be giving listeners the chance to win some incredible money-can’t-buy prizes in return for donating, and Planet Rock are selling limited-edition t-shirts featuring exclusive designs from the Rolling Stones’ Ronnie Wood, Judas Priest’s Rob Halford and acclaimed album artist Rodney Matthews.
Over at Absolute Radio, Bush and Richie are taking on a steep challenge by braving a 1,085 metre trek to the top of Mount Snowdon, and across at Jazz FM, Kerrang! Radio, Heat Radio and Scala Radio there’ll be a spotlight on real stories from families who have been hit hard by the cost-of-living crisis and those who have already benefited from Cash for Kids amazing work.
And it’s not just radio! Cash for Kids Day is also being supported across Bauer Media’s magazine portfolio with editorial content from Trail, That’s Life and Take a Break.
