Empire website empireonline.com has announced today its first guest editor – world renowned filmmaker Roland Emmerich who will guest edit from the 13^th – 17^th June. Emmerich is a hugely talented and respected filmmaker whose repertoire features some of the greatest blockbusters of all time including: Independence Day, The Day After Tomorrow, Stargate and Universal Soldier.

Emmerich’s role as guest editor ties in with the release of the follow-up Independence Day film Independence Day: Resurgence which is out 23^rd June in the UK.

Emmerich will guest edit Empire Online from 13^th – 17^th June. The magazine, which features Independence Day: Resurgence star Jeff Goldblum on the cover, is on sale 26^th May.
