Steve ‘Tetley’ Taylor awarded Radio Academy Fellowship

Each year The Radio Academy award just four fellowships to people in the industry who have shown massive support and expertise, commitment and passion for the medium of Radio.
This year Steve Taylor, or Tetley as he is wider known (in the industry) was bestowed the honour, with Steve Parkinson (Group MD, National Radio) surprising him on stage at the Radio Festival to read out reviews from colleagues and collaborators.
Tetley began his radio career in 1986 as Promotions Manager for Invicta Radio before moving north to head up the Promotions Department at Viking FM. In 1994 he joined Virgin Radio as Promotions Director, successfully executing over four hundred promotions. Since 2005 he’s been with Bauer Media, at the forefront of commercial creative thinking across all their brands.
Presenting him with his award, Steve Parkinson said “This person doesn’t just champion the brands he works on… he literally lives and breathes them. He is a true ambassador for Radio – respected, loved and yes I can safely say even adored by many.”
Many congratulations Tetley, from us all at Bauer Media!
