Grammy-winning country star to host Saturday afternoons with Ashley McBryde’s Radioland ahead of her C2C headline appearance

Grammy-winning country star Ashley McBryde is joining Absolute Radio Country with a brand-new weekly show, Ashley McBryde’s Radioland, launching Saturday 24th October.

The three-hour show will air every Saturday from 4pm to 7pm, with Ashley sharing some of her favourite country songs, stories from her career and the artists and music that have influenced her.

The launch comes ahead of Ashley’s headline appearance at next year’s C2C: Country to Country festival in the UK. Absolute Radio Country will be bringing listeners coverage, interviews and highlights from across the C2C weekend in Manchester.

Recorded from Nashville, Ashley McBryde’s Radioland will feature songs Ashley loves, tracks from her own catalogue and stories from her life as a songwriter and performer. The show will give listeners a warm, unfiltered insight into the music and people behind some of country’s biggest songs.

Ashley McBryde said:

“I’ve always been fascinated by the stories behind the songs and the people who write ’em. Some of my favorite songs have been with me my whole life, and others I’ve picked up along the way. I’m looking forward to sharing those with y’all, talking about the artists who’ve shaped the way I make music, and telling a few stories of my own. Can’t wait to spend Saturdays with y’all on Radioland!”

Ricky Marshall, Head of Content for Absolute Radio Country said:

“Ashley McBryde is one of country music’s most compelling and exciting voices, and we’re thrilled to welcome her to the station. With Ashley set to headline C2C in the UK next year, and Absolute Radio Country bringing listeners the best of C2C Manchester, this is the perfect moment to bring Radioland to our listeners.”

Ashley McBryde’s Radioland launches on Absolute Radio Country on Saturday 24th October and will air weekly from 4pm to 7pm. Listeners can tune in via DAB, smart speaker, online and the Absolute Radio app.
