Bauer Celebrates Radio Audio Week with #BauerRadioChallenge

As part of Radio Audio Week starting 14 May, Bauer has launched a Radio Challenge, inviting advertisers and agencies to test the limits of Bauer’s creative powers and unrivalled insight by submitting their most demanding briefs. Brands will have full access to Bauer’s creative teams across all of its multiple touchpoints e.g. airtime, digital, events, sponsorship and promotions. The challenge will give advertisers the opportunity to reach 18m listeners through a creative campaign to meet their objectives. Bauer guarantees to mock up how the creative could sound, all for free.
To take part in the #BauerRadioChallenge, brands and agencies can submit their briefs online at http://www.bauermedia.co.uk/radio-challenge
The challenge will run from 7 May to the end of RAW on 18 May.
As well as the Radio Challenge, Bauer is showcasing its creative talent at Radio Audio Week with:
- Christian O’Connell appearing at the Radio Festival on Tuesday 15 May speaking on the theme ‘Radio – What’s the Future?
- Dave Berry in conversation with Harriet Scott at the Radiocentre Tuning In conference Wednesday 16 May
- Paul Sylvester speaking about personalisation on radio at the IAB event Sound Investment on Thursday 17 May
In today’s connected world, radio has transformed into a truly anytime, anywhere, anyhow experience. With 90% of the population tuning in every week and millions choosing audio as their go-to source for entertainment and information due to its trusted environment. Bauer’s radio challenge follows recent research from Ebiquity and Radiocentre, Re-evaluating Media, which found that radio (along with TV) is by far the strongest advertising media for brand-building despite the perception amongst agencies and advertisers that digital media is more effective. Indeed the report found ‘a significant mismatch between industry perceptions and that radio was particularly undervalued. Re-Evaluating Media also found that, used creatively, radio is the top medium for targeting the right people in the right place at the right time, extending reach and ROI. Abby Carvosso, Group Managing Director, Advertising, Bauer Media said, “We’re thrilled to be taking part in Radio Audio Week celebrating the power of audio and demonstrating how it can be amplified cross-platform. This is an exciting time for Bauer Radio where we are constantly innovating our audio offering with the introduction of Alexa Skills for our stations but also looking to grow our reach with the launch of Hits Radio. This challenge is a great opportunity to give clients access to our insight as well as the instinct of our creative content teams to be able to demonstrate the impressive impact of radio.”
