Bauer Media Advertising appoints George Butler as Head of Commercial Marketing
Bauer Media Advertising has announced that George Butler will be taking up the newly created role of Head of Commercial Marketing, reporting into Commercial Marketing & Insight Director, Liz Martin.
In his new role, George will be instrumental in shaping the commercial marketing strategy for Bauer Media Advertising, building on Bauer Media Advertising’s positioning – Together We Create Impact – and communicating how Bauer creates impact for its commercial customers with its network of iconic audio and publishing brands.
George joins Bauer Media Advertising from Radiocentre, the industry body for commercial radio in the UK, where he has worked for the past six years. As Head of Marketing, he has driven Radiocentre’s national ad campaigns, developed their brand identity and ran the national events series, Tuning In. He has also co-managed the award winning cross-industry initiative, the Mental Health Minute, and launched the Young Audio Awards for talented 8–18-year-olds creating audio across the UK.
On his new appointment, George Butler said: “After six great years with the Radiocentre team I’m saying a fond farewell. Having worked closely with Bauer I know it’s a hugely exciting time for the organisation, so I can’t wait to get started and be a part of their industry leading team.”
