Bauer Media and Channel 4 bring Married at First Sight UK to life with KISS’s first-ever live on-air wedding
Bauer Media’s KISS and Channel 4 are joining forces once again to deliver an attention-grabbing live stunt that pushes creative boundaries, celebrates creativity and highlights the enduring power of audio to create moments that capture attention and spark national conversation.
On Friday 7th November, KISS Breakfast will stage its first-ever live on-air wedding, inspired by Married at First Sight UK (MAFS), to mark the finale of the show’s 10th season on Channel 4.
Brokered by media agency OMD UK, the activity builds on Channel 4’s multi-year sponsorship of the KISS breakfast show, which has previously delivered impactful campaigns such as Naked Week. Together, the two brands continue to prove how audio can drive high-impact, authentic moments that resonate across multiple platforms.
The live activation – “How Far Would You Go for a Trip to Thailand?” – will see two complete strangers ‘married’ live on KISS Breakfast. Up to ten hopefuls will gather at KISS HQ for the ceremony, where two will be randomly selected to say “I do” and each win an unforgettable trip to Thailand, which they will share with a mate of their choice.
Hosted by KISS presenters Jordan Banjo and Harriet Rose and officiated by a MAFS celebrant, the event captures all the emotion and humour of the show, brought to life through the warmth and energy of live radio. In true KISS style it will be unscripted, emotional and unmissably entertaining.
The campaign includes a week-long editorial story arc running within the breakfast show and supported by network wide recruitment trails, a full takeover show as the ‘marriage’ takes place and a full social support plan across the KISS social channels.
The stunt has been designed with social storytelling in mind. KISS reaches millions of young people across their social platforms and the drama and raw emotion of a live wedding will play out in feeds across the UK – showcasing how audio and social can work together to drive cultural reach and engagement.
Krissie Ford, Director of Client Strategy, Bauer Media said: “This activation perfectly captures what happens when great partners trust each other to take creative risks. It’s a brilliant example of how audio can create real-time cultural moments that spark conversation, while giving brands a powerful connection with audiences.”
Sian Gray, Marketing Lead, Channel 4 Streaming added: “At Channel 4, we’re all about being Altogether Different; creating bold, entertaining and thought-provoking moments that get the nation talking. From Naked Week to this MAFS-inspired KISS wedding, our collaborations with KISS embody the fearless creativity and cultural relevance that sit at the heart of Channel 4. It’s about celebrating the unexpected and connecting with audiences in fresh, authentic ways, wherever they are.”
