The shortlist for the prestigious Audio & Radio Industry Awards (ARIAS) has been announced, with Bauer securing an incredible 29 nominations.

As unveiled by the Radio Academy yesterday evening, Bauer’s national stations Absolute Radio, Hits Radio, KISS, Magic Radio, Scala Radio and Greatest Hits Radio are among nominees, along with local stations Clyde 1, Forth 1, Hallam FM, Pulse 1, Metro Radio, Free Radio and Wave 105.

The news follows on from the 2022 event in which Bauer won two of the biggest awards on the night, including National Network or Station of the Year for Hits Radio and the Clyde 1 team taking home The John Myers Award for Local Station of the Year.

This year there are 28 awards to be won on the night in categories such as Radio Times Moment of the Year as voted for by the public and The 2022 Special Award, recognising radio coverage of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

The winners will be announced at a ceremony in London on Tuesday 2nd May 2023 hosted by Hits Radio Breakfast presenter Fleur East alongside Rylan.
