Bauer Media receives five nominations at the Magnetic Spotlight Awards 2023
Bauer Media’s publishing brands have secured five nominations on the shortlist for the Magnetic Spotlight Awards 2023.
The awards recognise and reward advertisers and their agencies for highly effective campaign planning and execution in partnership with magazine media brands. This year’s shortlist demonstrates the enduring commercial appeal of Bauer’s lifestyle titles with nine brands featuring on the shortlist.
The list of Bauer nominations is as follows:
Best Use of Digital
- The Story Lab with Very Joyful Style Jump Start for Very: Bauer brands Closer, Grazia, heat and The Juggle gave readers’ style a joyful jump start with Very, reigniting their love of fashion by focusing the positive impact it can have on their mood and their lives through creating videos (including Instagram Reels and TikTok shorts) at a bespoke shoot.
Campaign for Good
- MG OMD with Every Story Matters for The Covid 19 Inquiry: Through this campaign, Bauer used trusted parenting brands Closer, Grazia (The Juggle) and Mother & Baby to create a hard-hitting video which saw a panel of women share incredibly private and intimate experiences about being pregnant/having a baby during the pandemic. This then ran across multiple social channels, driving viewers to share their experiences of becoming a parent during the pandemic.
- Omnicom/OmniGOV with BEIS Government Energy Saving – Help for Households for HM Government: This campaign that ran in Take a Break, That’s Life, TV Choice and Yours was all about optimising energy output without breaking the bank and exploring how others have made their energy spend work harder in the winter season.
Content Partnership of the Year (over £100k)
- Wavemaker with Schwarzkopf Oleo Intense for Schwarzkopf: Grazia worked with Schwarzkopf to create a high impact campaign that placed the brand at the heart of its beauty content and positioned the Oleo Intense range as a premium product that unites haircare professionals and the consumer. This campaign turned the camera over to consumers, inviting them to send in their own hair stories to discuss how their hair has impacted them and their confidence.
Content Partnership of the Year (under £100k)
- Wavemaker with Heroing Avon’s Anew Power Eye for Avon: Grazia, heat and Closer worked with Avon to create a high impact campaign that positioned Avon as the central focus of their beauty content and positioned the eye cream as the must have product through creating bespoke creative print features, Instagram Reels and branded content articles.
The winners will be announced on Thursday 23 November at an awards ceremony at The Vaults in Charing Cross.
