The ongoing transformation of Bauer Media Group’s operations both globally and locally provides opportunities to move expertise across the group, to help move our development forward at pace.
In that spirit, Nicky Holt, the current MD, Commercial of Publishing BU in the UK will move to a new role in the People & Culture stream, with a focus on supporting the introduction of the TranS/4m project. This initiative is designed to migrate all finance processes to one unified platform to empower our business with financial knowledge and professional guidance, supported by efficient processes and state-of-the-art technology.
During two stints totalling more than 11 years with the business, Nicky has continually been a champion of cultural change. Most recently, as a sponsor of the AO project in the UK, which redesigned workflows and re-platformed the commercial sales business before going live in Q4 of last year.
Speaking on her new role, Nicky said: “I’m delighted to be offered the opportunity to take on a new challenge within the Bauer Media Group, focusing on my personal passion for helping lead teams through cultural change. I look forward to working with all the teams involved in a major project as TranS/4m and watching the UK commercial team continue to flourish.”
Sarah Barnes, Vice President, People & Culture Development said: “Nicky is a brilliant fit for our People & Culture team. She brings an entrepreneurial, passionate spirit to work every day and has demonstrated in her work in the UK a real understanding of how to introduce the right culture and behaviours for positive change. I’m really looking forward to working with her.”
Anna Sedgley, CFO, Bauer Media Group said: “The introduction of better, integrated finance processes is a key milestone in the business’s wider aim to provide our people a more efficient and seamless way of working. TranS/4m is the programme that will deliver this change and I can’t think of anyone better to support its introduction than Nicky. She has an acute understanding of its value to the business, and this combined with broader experience, makes her a perfect fit for the role.”
Chris Duncan, CEO, Bauer UK Publishing said: “Throughout her time with the UK Publishing business, Nicky has been a great source on ingenuity and energy that has translated into the performance of our commercial teams. More than that, she’s played an invaluable role imbedding the right behaviours and culture to drive positive change across our UK business. We’re delighted that she’ll now bring these qualities to Bauer globally, supporting the wider transformation that will continue to have a positive impact for our UK Publishing teams.”
Nicky will start the new role shortly, after a period of handover with the local UK Publishing teams.
