Bauer Radio News Journalists recognised in Midland Media Awards nominations

Our Bauer Radio News teams have collected four nominations in this year’s Midland Media Awards 2018 run by the Birmingham Press Club.

The awards are designed to recognise core-values, creativity and headlines, the best editorial teams, news and sports photographers, journalists and new talent, celebrating the diversity of the media throughout the Midlands.

Our journalists have been nominated in the following categories:

Campaign of the Year:

Jeanette Oldham, Birmingham Mail – ‘Investigation into Highly-sensitive Official Secrets’

Matt Maddren, Free Radio – ‘Alfie Dingley’s Journey’

News Reporting team, Coventry Live/Coventry Telegraph – ‘Nuneaton Siege’

Rupert Upshon, BBC WM – ‘Knife Crime’
