The nominations for the first ever Audio and Radio Industry Awards – the ‘ARIA’s, have been announced today and we are proud to reveal that across our radio business we have received 9 nominations including; Best National Station, Best Local Station, Best Entertainment Production, Best Local Breakfast Show, Best National Music Breakfast Show and The Radio Academy Award.

The awards are organised by The Radio Academy and have been created to recognise talent, innovation and excellence across the entire audio and radio industry. The ‘ARIA’s will be the biggest cross-industry celebration of UK radio and audio.

The ceremony takes place on Wednesday 19th October at the Leeds First Direct Arena and will feature a performance from Magic Radio’s very own Rick Astley alongside The Kaiser Chiefs and Grammy-award winning artist Gregory Porter.
