It was another winning evening for Bauer Media Audio UK at last night’s prestigious ARIAS awards when, for the second year running, Clyde 1 took home Gold as they won The John Myers Station of the Year Award. It was one of four Gold awards on the night for Bauer teams as Magic, Absolute Radio and Pulse 1’s Breakfast Show also received golden recognition.

Handed the award by Greatest Hits Radio’s Ken Bruce, the Clyde 1 team kicked off a night of success which saw Mylo & Rosie’s Pulse 1 Breakfast Show named Best Local Show, with Forth 1 and Hits Radio Scotland’s The Big Saturday Football Show also taking home Bronze in this category.  The Big Saturday Football Show then went one better, awarded Silver in Best Sports Show.

Absolute Radio received Gold for Best Coverage of an Event for its work during Mental Health Awareness Week whilst a Bronze in The Impact Award category went to Hits Radio Manchester’s Justice for Joseph – an incredible campaign that led to a change in the laws around dangerous driving.

The Gold awards kept coming with Magic Breakfast and On the Beach announced as Best Commercial Partnership and KISS presenter Harriet Rose took Silver in the hugely competitive Best New Presenter category. There was further success for KISS with a Bronze in Best Music Special for their documentary around UK rap and MC culture, Pass the Mic. Hallam FM’s Big John at Breakfast was also a Silver award winner for Best Music Breakfast Show.

Hits Radio presenter Fleur East shared hosting duties with Rylan for the night and delighted the crowd by taking to the stage for a very special music performance.
