David Robertson Appointed Director of Content for Bauer Media Audio UK in Scotland and Northern Ireland

Bauer Media Audio UK is pleased to announce it has appointed David Robertson as its new Director of Content, Nations (Scotland & Northern Ireland).

From August, David becomes responsible for leading the creative and editorial direction of Bauer’s market-leading stations across Scotland and Northern Ireland, including Clyde 1, Forth 1, and Cool FM. He will oversee their content strategy across on-air and digital as well as supporting on content for Rayo, driving audience growth while supporting talent development and brand performance across the Nations.

David brings over 18 years of experience at Bauer, most recently playing a central role in the sustained success of Clyde 1, which this year celebrated its highest-ever weekly reach and listening hours in over two decades. He also led the transformation of Clyde 1 Superscoreboard into one of Bauer’s most successful multi-platform content brands, now fully visualised and consumed by audiences across radio, video, and social.

Gary Stein, Director of Audio at Bauer Media UK, said, “As Clyde 1 and Forth 1 enjoy some incredible audience numbers I’m delighted to see David step into this role. He has deep understanding of what makes our Nations audiences tick and his proven track record in both innovation and performance make him the ideal person to lead this next phase.”

David Robertson added, “It’s a real honour to take on this role and continue working with the amazing teams in Scotland and Northern Ireland. We have such strong brands and brilliant talent, and I’m excited about what we can do next to grow our connection with audiences across all platforms.”

David will succeed Victoria Easton-Riley, who leaves Bauer this this August to take up a new position outside of the business.
