Ferne McCann has topped a New Year list of the fittest female celebrities.
The TV personality took the top spot in heat magazine’s annual Fit List, which celebrate fitness and body confidence, ahead of Fearne Cotton, Gemma Atkinson and Holly Willoughby.
Previous winners have included Kourtney Kardashian and Davina McCall who has been voted in the top five of heat’s Fit List for the third year running.
Elsewhere in the top ten are tennis icon Serena Williams, Jennifer Lopez and Brits including Amanda Holden, Rochelle Humes and Binky Felstead.
Emma Willis, Holly Willoughby, Caroline Flack and Fleur East all make it in to the top 20.
After giving birth to first daughter Sunday in November 2017, Ferne has totally transformed her lifestyle and figure – and maintained it. She is now the fittest she’s ever been after teaming up with PT Ellie Hopley two-and-a-half years ago.
Commenting on the accolade, Ferne, 28, now a size 8, said: “I’ve never felt better. People are almost quite shocked at how I look now but for me but for me it’s been a gradual thing – something that I started before I got pregnant with Sunday. I’ve always been sporty but never really into fitness. I was the person who would walk out of a spin class because I’d had enough and now I just love to train. That’s down to my PT Ellie – she really changed my body.”
heat editor Julia Davis, added: “We’re unveiling our annual list of the most bad-ass bodies in showbiz to help everyone feel inspired to love their body this year. The women featured are all awesome ambassadors for body positivity and combine a healthy attitude to fitness and food with an acceptance that we’re all different and amazing. Forget detox teas and expensive lipo, these ladies are hitting their body goals with sweat, sensible eating and a huge helping of swagger.”
The expert judging panel was comprised of former Olympic speed skater and Roar Fitness founder Sarah Lindsay, personal trainer and creator of the Viking Method Svava Sigbertsdottir and health and fitness blogger, PT and body confidence campaigner Chessie King.
The judges criteria was based on the workout habits, daily diets and the way each celebrity talks about their body to inspire others.
