The news was announced live on air this morning
Presenter and broadcaster, Gok Wan, was revealed this morning as the new co-host of Magic Radio Breakfast. He will join Harriet Scott permanently every weekday from Monday January 27th.
Gok Wan said: ‘I am beyond excited to be joining the Magic Radio Breakfast team. I have loved working with the crew and of course getting to know our fabulous listeners. I have truly fallen in love with radio and I don’t even mind the early mornings, I’m an early riser anyway! We are going to have a brilliant time and I want you all to join us in the daily fun. Harriet is a wonderful co-host and I can’t wait for our Magic to happen!’
Harriet Scott has been to co-host of Magic Radio Breakfast since 2017 and frequently interviews stars on the show including most recently Kylie, Rick Astley and stars of the new Disney+ show Rivals, Danny Dyer and Emily Atack.
Harriet added, ‘I know that our listeners are going to love spending their mornings with Gok just as much as I do. We’re all going to have some adventures together in 2025 and I can’t wait!’
Ahead of Gok joining the show on a permanent basis, Harriet will be joined by a number of co-hosts, including Gok, as well as Magic Soul broadcaster Lemar and McFly’s Harry Judd both taking a turn in the Magic Radio Breakfast hot seat as well.
Paul Sylvester, Magic Radio Content Director said: ‘I’m delighted to be able to share the news that Gok Wan is our new Magic Breakfast co-host. Gok and Harriet have a brilliant chemistry and alongside Gok’s experience as a live TV presenter, his natural warmth, sense of mischief, affinity with ‘real people’ and love for our music this meant he was the natural choice.’
Magic Radio Breakfast’s long running partnership with Samsung will continue as the electronics giant remains the official sponsor of the Magic Radio Breakfast Show.
