Greatest Hits Radio joins with the Hits Radio Network to launch ‘My Local Market’
To further its efforts to support local businesses, the Hits Radio Brand Network today announces the launch of ‘My Local Market,’ a virtual marketplace which allows small business owners to connect to more consumers at this challenging time.
Open for any small business with either physical premises or an online selling platform, traders are encouraged to sign up and create a market stall for free from today, ahead of the launch on 7th December.
The market will be promoted on-air and online by Greatest Hits Radio as well as across the Hits Radio Network, allowing local communities to directly support sellers in their area while business owners will have access to the audience for the UK’s largest commercial radio network.
Launching with a special virtual Christmas market next month, any traders looking to take part should visit www.itsmylocalmarket.co.uk.
Speaking about the initiative, Graham Bryce, Group Managing Director for the Hits Radio Brand Network said “The build up to this Christmas season is unlike any other we have experienced in modern times, and we want to do everything we can to support local businesses hit hard by the pandemic.
“My Local Market is a way to capture the spirit of the annual Christmas Marketplace virtually, and provide local businesses access to our audiences through the Christmas season and beyond. As a partner to local businesses, we’re proud to provide local traders a helping hand at the end of a very challenging year and spread some virtual Christmas joy.”
Greatest Hits Radio recently launched in even more areas of the UK, bringing nationally known presenters including Simon Mayo, Mark Goodier, Janice Long, Paul Gambaccini and Pat Sharp – along with its playlist of the biggest songs of the 70s, 80s and 90s – to more corners of the country.
