Adele has retained her crown as the richest British & Irish celebrity aged 30 and under for a third consecutive year, having toppled One Direction off the top spot in 2016.

The singer, 30, has increased her staggering estimated wealth from £132m to £147.5m according the heat Rich List, an annual guide to the UK and Ireland’s richest young stars.

Although she’s hardly lifted a finger since finishing her world tour at Wembley Stadium in summer 2017, she still manages to be a cash-magnet – in 2017 alone she pocketed £9m from record sales, while that tour earned her a massive £42m. There’s also talk of a £22m year-long Vegas residency in the future. 

Ed Sheeran has jumped to second place from third position in 2017. The 27-year old singer songwriter knocks Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe in to third place for the first time. Ed’s wealth has increased from £52m in 2017 to £94m thanks to big bucks rolling in from his third album ÷ (6m copies sold and counting) and ticket sales from his £225m-grossing two-year world tour.

Much of 29-year-old Daniel Radcliffe’s £87m was amassed during his 10 years playing schoolboy wizard Harry Potter. He sits comfortably in third place this year ahead of his fellow Hogwarts chums Emma Watson (5) and Rupert Grint (11).

At number four is Harry Styles, 24, with £58m. The singer is set to pocket a cool £20m for his post-1D projects, including his £1m-selling album, a role in blockbuster Dunkirk and a prestigious Gucci campaign.

Her upfront fee of £2m for Beauty and the Beast, plus a share of the profits believed to be £10m, must have topped up Emma Watson’s Harry Potter stash nicely. The actress, 28, is in fifth place with an estimated fortune of £55m.

Little Mix storm up the top ten from tenth to sixth place this year. In 2017 Glory Days was one of the year’s biggest-selling albums, while their concerts grossed £31m. Then there’s the endorsements, ranging from COLAB Dry Shampoo to Little Mix fashion dolls. 

The remainder of the top ten spots are populated by Harry Styles’ former 1D bandmates with Niall Horan, 25, at seven with £46m, Louis Tomlinson, 26, at eight with £44m, Liam Payne, 25, at nine with £43m and Zayn Malik, 25, in tenth place with £37m.

This year sees a joint new entry from Star Wars actors John Boyega and Daisy Ridley at number 28 with £46m and reality TV star Spencer Matthews who makes his debut at number 30 with £4.5m thanks to his best-selling memoir and magazine deals for his recent wedding to model Vogue Williams.

Kylie Jenner topples Justin Bieber as the wealthiest star aged 30 and under outside the UK thanks to the success of Kylie Cosmetics, recently valued at $800m.

Dan Middleton is the richest Social Influencer with £18m. The 26-year old Minecraft guru, known as DanTDM, has 20m YouTube subscribers and sold out Sydney Opera House last year.

Combing through their company accounts (where available), record sales, TV Contracts and endorsement deals, a team of experts produces an estimate for their lifetime earnings to date. Each entry has to be an entertainer, aged 30 or under and born in, or chiefly reside in, the UK and Ireland.
