Absolute Radio‘s 80s vs 90s club night set to return to Camden on Friday 30th June
From indie anthems to pop bangers, which decade will reign supreme? Absolute Radio presents the return of 80s vs 90s,…
Hits Radio Pride’s Pride Poll is back for a third year, once again celebrating the best Pride events across the country. With previous winners including Manchester, Bury, Belfast, London, Brighton and Abergavenny, the Pride Poll recognises parades and parties of all sizes and scale by asking listeners to vote for their favourites. As Pride celebrates diversity and inclusivity, all major Pride events in the UK are nominated – with audiences able to write in any that may be missed.
Open for voting now and throughout Pride Month, the Pride Poll also asks listeners to vote in categories spanning Music, TV/Film, Sport and Style, voting for those within popular culture who have used their platforms to make a real impact over the last twelve months. Last year saw winners in Lady Gaga, RuPaul, Tom Daley and Harry Styles respectively.
Simon Greening, Senior Executive Producer, Hits Radio, said: “Whilst we celebrate the LGBTQ+ community all year round, Pride Month is a special one for us at Hits Radio Pride as we get to give a shout out to local communities that are making a difference with our annual Pride Poll. Through our music, content and partnerships we aim to be a platform that continuously amplifies LGBTQ+ voices and acknowledges those who help to push for inclusivity; so, it’s always incredible to see our listeners join us in voting and celebrating the best Pride events.”
Marking its third anniversary on-air this summer, the Pride Poll comes shortly after a busy month of May for the dedicated LGBTQ+ Bauer Media radio station. Last month saw Hits Radio Pride commemorate Eurovision by inviting many guest radio presenters from across Europe to discuss their countries’ chances, plus see its series Faith, Sex and Me – created in partnership with Loftus Media – nominated for The Impact Award at this year’s ARIAs.
Voting for the Pride Poll is open now – head over to the Hits Radio Pride website here to cast your votes.
