Kenya Hunt is Appointed Deputy Editor of Grazia

Bauer Media UK today announces that Kenya Hunt has been appointed Deputy Editor of fashion and news brand Grazia.

Kenya is currently Fashion Director of Grazia, having joined in August 2019 from ELLE UK where she was Deputy Editor.

Kenya’s career spans working for some of the world’s most influential women’s titles on both sides of the Atlantic from her post-graduate days as an Assistant Editor at the seminal magazine, Jane, to her years as Deputy Editor of ELLE UK. Her writing has appeared in The Guardian, The Observer, Vogue, Marie Claire, The Evening Standard and other publications. And she has made a number of appearances on BBC Woman’s Hour, Sky News and more.

As the founder of R.O.O.M. Mentoring, Kenya advocates for greater diversity within the fashion industry by providing a supportive network for some of the many talented aspiring designers, journalists and image-makers of colour London has to offer. She currently sits on the British Fashion Council’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee, co-leading its mentoring and talent ID stream to help diversify the fashion industry.

In her new dual role, Kenya will combine her existing responsibilities as Fashion Director with those of Deputy Editor, reporting to Grazia editor Hattie Brett.

Hattie commented: “Since she joined Grazia as Fashion Director in 2019, Kenya has already grown our fashion footprint with strong storytelling and arresting visuals across print and digital. So I’m looking forward to working with her on developing all areas of the Grazia brand in 2021 – with a particular focus on fashion, beauty and themed issues and events. Her talent, enthusiasm and mentoring will bring a fresh perspective for an exciting year ahead.”

Kenya added: “It has been exciting to be a part of Grazia as it has gone from strength to strength, responding quickly and creatively to the ever-changing climate this year. And I’m thrilled to have this opportunity to work in a more expanded way with Hattie and the team to make the year ahead an even more momentous one for the brand across print and digital.”

Kenya takes up the role on 7 January and replaces Rosamund Dean who is leaving to pursue her freelance writing but will continue to contribute to and work with Grazia.
