Bauer UK Publishing has named Lisa Sinclair as its new Group Editor for its Celebrity titles.
Lisa will oversee all editorial output for Celebrity titles, which includes Closer, heat & Crime Monthly and brings a wealth of print and digital experience after more than 20 years working across a variety of titles in the UK & Australia. Most recently, she was a Director at Singill Enterprises which supplied a host of content for titles such as Australian Women’s Weekly, Woman’s Day and the Sydney Morning Herald.
During her time in Australia, Lisa also edited several Bauer-owned magazines including Yours and Woman’s Day before Bauer’s Australian operations were sold to Mercury Capital in 2015.
Bauer’s Celebrity offering is made-up of specialist real crime title Crime Monthly and popular weeklies Closer and heat, which both enjoyed strong growth in digital circulation in this year’s ABC figures.
Helen Morris, Group Managing Director – Lifestyle, Bauer Publishing UK said: “We’re delighted to welcome Lisa to the team. She brings excellent experience in leading teams to produce and deliver content to audiences across both digital and print. I’m really looking forward to working with her.”
Lisa Sinclair, Group Editor – Celebrity, Bauer Publishing UK said: “I’m immensely proud to be entrusted with overseeing the continued growth and success of Bauer’s celebrity titles. Closer, heat, and Crime Monthly have proud, long-standing reputations for delivering the best Celebrity content around for their audiences. I’m looking forward to working with the brilliant editorial teams to continue those traditions and to develop more content that also embraces the digital opportunities ahead of us.”
Lisa will begin her new role from 10 July with Caroline Robb (heat), Katie Banks (Closer) and Steph Seelan (Crime Monthly) continuing in their roles as acting editors for their respective titles until the end of September to support her introduction into the business.
“I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Caroline, Katie and Steph for expertly leading our brands so well in their acting editor roles. I’m looking forward to seeing all three continue to go from strength-to-strength under Lisa’s guidance,” said Helen Morris.
