MCN celebrates 70 years as the UK’s biggest and best motorcycling publication with 112-page bumper issue

MCN celebrates 70 years of being the UK’s biggest and best motorcycling publication with a special 112-page issue, on sale today, packed with today’s hottest biking news plus the biggest moments from the past seven decades, including a special issue 1 pullout.

Wrapped inside a special glossy cover, the commemorative edition features a look back at the top stories from every era; celebrates the iconic Yamaha RD350LC; and discovers whether a Gen-Z rider can handle a 1955s machine!  Not only that, MCN also invites readers to vote for the greatest bike of all time from a not-so-short-list of 70 stand-out machines.  Plus, there’s exclusive breaking news from Norton about their bold future plans, plus a world first ride on the bonkers new Bimota Tera.

Andy Calton, Director of Brand and Content (Auto and Specialist) said: “We’re extremely proud to be celebrating 70 years as the world’s leading motorcycling publication with this special issue.  It’s a powerful testament to passion, dedication, and trust from our loyal motorcycling community.  For seven decades, we’ve been at the heart of motorcycling—bringing riders the latest news, honest reviews, unforgettable stories, and a shared love for life on two wheels. Here’s to 70 years of the ride so far, and many more miles to go!”

Emma Franklin, Editor of MCN, added: “Biking – and media – might’ve changed to almost unrecognisable levels compared to the simpler days of 1955, when MCN first hit the newsstands, but there’s one thing which hasn’t – motorcyclists. We’re a rare and special breed, united and galvanised by our passion for two wheels and an engine. That same passion is what has driven MCN over the past 70 years to provide our readers with everything they need to enjoy their motorcycling in the best possible way, whether that’s helping them buy the best bike, ensuring that they enjoy every precious moment of riding time, or just keeping them excited about biking through those long winter months. So, it’s a heartfelt thank you on behalf of me and the entire MCN team for supporting us over 70 years, and we hope everyone enjoys this very special issue.”

MCN is at the core of the UK motorcycling community.  Every week, the issue is packed full of news, bike reviews, the in-depth MCN250 road test; inspiration for places to ride and bucket list biking activities; invaluable workshop and riding advice; details of all of the week’s hottest new bike and kit bargains, plus big-mileage kit reviews every week; features that really get under the skin of the biking world; insight on the growing world of electric bikes; unrivalled sports coverage and analysis; long-term tests of the most important bikes on the market and valuable buying advice on sourcing great used bikes – and much, much more.

The newsstand 70th issue is available now, and print + digital subscriptions are available to purchase at www.greatmagazines.co.uk.
