Q Magazine, the UK’s greatest music magazine, has today announced that Mo Gilligan, one of the UK’s fastest rising comedians, will host the 28th Q Awards in association with Absolute Radio on 17 October 2018 at Camden’s Roundhouse. The perfect host for the occasion, Mo’s comedy sketches have been regularly co-signed by some of the biggest names in international music, including Drake and Stormzy. His output regularly reaches millions of people across the web, television and the stage thanks to his high-energy style and stunning physicality. At the Q Awards 2018, attendees will see Mo’s comedic banter come out in full force, whilst he works a room full of the music industry’s biggest stars and fans.

Following the huge success of the awards’ new format in 2016 and 2017, the Q Awards will again feature an incredible post-awards gig, allowing Q Magazine readers and fans alike access to the awards alongside the stars themselves. This year, two top British acts are taking the stage – London’s Wolf Alice and Bristol’s IDLES, who have both seen vast amounts of success over the last 12 months. Wolf Alice recently announced they will be taking a break later this year making the Q Awards the last opportunity to see one of the UK’s hottest bands live for a while.

Tickets to attend the Q Awards and the gig, as well as tickets to attend just the gig itself, are now sold out.

The Q Awards, one of the UK’s most highly-regarded awards ceremonies, presents seven public-voted awards each year along with a number of highly-coveted merit awards bestowed by Q Magazine on the night.

Voting is now open

Details of the shortlist will be announced shortly. For more information stay tuned to

The Q Awards, in association with Absolute Radio, take place on Wednesday 17 October 2018 at Camden’s Roundhouse.
