Radio Borders to rebrand as Greatest Hits Radio, as full weekday schedule in Scotland is unveiled
Radio Borders is to become the latest member of the Greatest Hits Radio family, as it is announced today that…
Magic Radio and On the Beach recently launched the inaugural ‘Airport Lounge Olympics’, seeing five couples battle it out in a series of live games that were also broadcast on air to win a free all-inclusive holiday to Mexico. As a part of On the Beach’s year-long sponsorship of the Magic Radio Breakfast show – secured by media agency, Goodstuff – Ronan Keating and Harriet Scott presented their morning radio slot live from Gatwick Airport’s ‘My Lounge’ to host the games.
Shining a light on On the Beach’s free lounge offering to anyone that books a four-star or above holiday, the ‘Airport Lounge Olympics’ comprised of airport-themed games such as ‘Suitcase Shuffle’, ‘Security Line 100m’, ‘Spot the Pilot’ and ‘Breakfast Buffet’. With losing couples getting knocked out each round, the final saw the remaining two couples go head-to-head to take turns in picking boarding passes until someone picked the lucky winning ticket to Mexico. None of the contestants left empty-handed, however – thanks to On the Beach, the other four couples were surprised with a holiday to Tenerife.
Simon Kilby, MD, Bauer Media Advertising said: “Partnering with clients like On the Beach on year-long campaigns allows us to build trust, understand each other’s brands more and action more creative ideas such as outside broadcasts. It was brilliant to see Ronan, Harriet, Eloise and On the Beach at Gatwick, bringing the on-air campaign to life and right to their audiences.”
Zoe Harris, chief customer officer at On the Beach said: “Navigating an airport often feels like you’re taking part in an Olympics. Booking with On the Beach however means you can benefit from our free fast track airport security and free airport lounge access on summer 2023 package holidays, making for a stress free pre-holiday experience. Seeing Ronan and Harriet surprise all of the competition hopefuls with a holiday was fantastic, we hope they all have a fantastic break and a more relaxing airport experience by taking advantage of our perks!”
On the Beach sponsors Magic Radio Breakfast, on air every Monday-Friday from 6-10am.
