Richard Dawkins to Join Bauer Media to Accelerate European Radio Growth

Bauer Media has today announced the appointment of Richard Dawkins as Chief Operating Officer across its European Radio division.

As Europe’s leading digital radio and audio business Bauer reaches more than 25 million listeners daily and spans seven countries including the UK, Sweden, Poland and Slovakia. The appointment of a Chief Operating Officer will enable Bauer to accelerate its growth and maximise the potential and performance of its existing operations.

In this newly created role, Richard will work alongside the senior radio management teams to identify new market and commercial opportunities. He will lead the development of Bauer’s European audio businesses, identifying and delivering new growth initiatives across multiple territories.

Richard is currently Chief Operating Officer, BBC Content, which commissions and schedules programmes for BBC iPlayer, BBC One, Two, Three and Four across drama, factual, comedy and entertainment; as well as BBC Sport across TV, radio and online.

Richard will join Bauer Media in late Spring and will report to Paul Keenan.
