Sherree Murphy and Ritchie Neville are the latest stars to be signed to brand new radio station Hits Radio – joining Gethin Jones, Gemma Atkinson and Sarah-Jane Crawford. The station is the only national commercial radio station to be broadcast out of Manchester, from the regions to the rest of the UK.

Sheree Murphy – a British actress, Radio & TV presenter best known for her role as Tricia Dingle in the ITV1 soap opera Emmerdale will host a brand new Sunday morning show on Hits Radio alongside Wes Butters. Wes and Sheree will celebrate the precious weekends and will unite listeners as part of the Sunday Squad – sharing what they’re up to to make the weekend brilliant. And not only that, Sheree will put her acting skills to test as she reads out a movie scene – with the listeners having to guess what the move is!

In additon, Richie Neville, best known as a member of boy band Five, is joining Hits Radio to present a brand new throwback show – celebrating the very best of the 90s and 00s every Sunday night.

Richie Neville added, “This is going to be such a fun show, with all the very best throwback songs from the 90s and 00s – two of my favourite decades and a whole host of memories“.

In addition to the brand new shows from Sheree Murphy and Ritchie Neville the station has a sparkling new national Breakfast Show hosted by Gethin Jones – who is best known for his TV work including Blue Peter – actress and Strictly finalist, Gemma Atkinson and Dave Vitty (Comedy Dave from BBC Radio 1’s Chris Moyles Show). A relatable new show with great combination of relatable real life conversation, brilliant banter and great music.  Drivetime will be hosted by Wes Butters and the station will have an evening show fronted by Sarah-Jane Crawford (The Xtra Factor) – a destination for early evening radio listening across the UK with celebrity guests and topical updates from the day.

Aimed at a family-focused national audience aged 25-44, Hits Radio will feature a soundtrack of the biggest hits of the day alongside treasured favourites, featuring artists such as Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, Little Mix, Ellie Goulding, Rag N Bone Man, P!nk, Craig David, Sam Smith, Ariana Grande, Coldplay and Katy Perry to name a just a few.

Listen to Wes and Sheree every Sunday morning from 9-12am and Ritchie Neville‘s Throwback Songs from the 90s and 00s every Sunday night 7-10pm.
