Spiritland Productions and Bauer Media in New Commercial Partnership
Bauer Media has announced a new partnership with Spiritland Productions that will see two of its podcasts, Reasons To Be Joyful with Gaby Roslin and Simon Mayo’s Books of the Year, join Bauer Media’s podcast portfolio.
As part of this new partnership, Bauer Media will take on commercial representation for both podcasts, combining Spiritland Productions award-winning production expertise with Bauer’s extensive commercial and audio network. The collaboration also keeps the talent firmly within the Bauer family, with both presenters already part of Bauer Media’s on-air lineup.
Simon Mayo presents the Drivetime Show on Greatest Hits Radio, while Gaby Roslin presents on Magic Radio on Saturday mornings.
Reasons To Be Joyful features uplifting and thoughtful conversations with a wide range of guests, including those heard on her Saturday morning radio show, celebrating optimism, joy and resilience. Simon Mayo’s Books of the Year offers in-depth author interviews, discussions and recommendations from the world of books, hosted by one of the UK’s most respected broadcasters alongside his long-term collaborator, Matt Williams.
Joe Haddow – Head of Production for Spiritland Productions said: “We’re very lucky to get to work with these three brilliant broadcasters every week on their excellent podcasts. And now – we get to work with the top team at Bauer as well! Just like chilli and chocolate, Gavin & Stacey, and Bert and Ernie, this feels like a winning combo!”
Lucie Cave – Chief Creative Officer Podcasts added: “Spiritland Productions is known for producing premium, distinctive audio, and we’re thrilled to be working with them on Reasons To Be Joyful with Gaby Roslin and Simon Mayo’s Books of the Year – Podcast. With both presenters already part of the Bauer on-air family, this partnership feels like a natural progression, strengthening our podcast portfolio and offering great opportunities for audiences and advertisers alike, including via Rayo.”
Both podcasts will continue to be distributed free to listen across all major podcast platforms worldwide, including Bauer Media’s own audio app, Rayo, ensuring continued accessibility for listeners across the UK and internationally.
The partnership takes effect immediately.
