Stephanie Hirst to host the Hits Radio Breakfast Show

Back to Latest News
9 February 2022

Stephanie Hirst will host the Hits Radio Breakfast Show from tomorrow, Thursday 10th February, for one week along with James Barr and Matt Haslam. Covering for Fleur East, this marks eight years since Steph was last live on air presenting on Breakfast radio.

The announcement follows new daytime changes to the Network announced at the start of the year, which saw new shows for Tom Green and Hattie Pearson as well as Mike Toolan reunited with Gemma Atkinson on Drivetime.

Stephanie joined Bauer Media in 2020 when the network’s LGBTQ+ dedicated station Hits Radio Pride was launched, and swiftly joined the main Hits Radio Network team after her weekly ‘Belters’ show proved one of the most popular streamed shows of the week.

Commenting on her new hosting gig, Stephanie said: “It’s a real honour to be sitting in for Fleur whilst she is away. It’s been a few years since I set my alarm clock to wake me up in the middle of the night to host a huge show – but I cannot wait to get up to join James and Matt for the Hits Radio Breakfast Show.”

Paul Gerrard, Programme Director, Hits Radio Network, added: “Steph has been a huge part of my radio listening over the years and knows exactly what makes a breakfast show fly. I am really looking forward to welcoming Steph to the Hits Radio Breakfast Show team alongside James Barr and Producer Matt.”
